The Mum Talk Bout Her Life How To Control 16 Children Was Cʀᴀᴢʏ – There’s No Normal Day In Her Household

A mother from North Palm Beach, Florida, has ten daughters and six sons aged between two to 21, including four ᴀᴅᴏᴘᴛɪᴏɴs, with her husband who is a ʙʀᴏᴋᴇʀ having a realty company. Charity founder Lyette Reback, 44, and her husband David Reback, 49, who they got engaged 10 days after she turned to 19,  admitted that “there’s no normal day in her household.

Her biological children are daughters Daly Kay,21, Ryli, 20, Bliss, 19, Kemper, 17, Glory, 15, Trinity, 13, Liberty, 11, Sojourner, eight, Victory, six and Verity, four, and sons Courson, 12, Judson, 10, Shepherd, 10, Ransom, eight and Stone, five.

Lyette has spent ten years time of her life pregnant without a sɪɴɢʟᴇ C-sᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ. The mother regularly ferries her children around in a minibus to take them to 88 different sports practice every week. She starts each day at 5:30 in the morning by saying a prayer and writing a to-do list before home educating the children to learn maths, science, languages, history and art.  Despite the busy life, the mother has still written a book about parenting, in which she shares how to find time to work out and go for dinner with friends.

Lyette said she would have thought having 16 children was ᴄʀᴀᴢʏ when she was younger, but believes it’s the best job in the world.

“If the number of children we have comes up in conversation or people see us out and they don’t know our family, they are like, ‘holy mackerel’, she said.

Her friends were so sʜᴏᴄᴋᴇᴅ when they had known her having 4 or 5 children. People would joke and say, “Don’t you have a TV in your bedroom? Obviously, these ʀᴇᴍᴀʀᴋs were either out of incredulity or they proposed my ɪɢɴᴏʀᴀɴᴄᴇ, ʙᴜᴛ I ᴀᴍ ɴᴏᴛ sᴛᴜᴘɪᴅ, Now some of them are a bit older and they are doing well in life it seems it’s ʟᴇss ᴏF ᴀ Fʀᴇᴀᴋ sʜᴏᴡ and they are saying, “Oh, maybe you’re not a ᴡᴇɪʀᴅᴏ.”

However, the couple was more than happy to have all these kids. Her husband David, who has taken over his parent’ luxury realty company, shares the same thought with her, seeing raising children as an “opportunity”.

“David and I were blessed to be able to have children and I we really, truly believe that raising children is an incredible opportunity to do something amazing in the world,” she said. “David and I were blessed to be able to have children and I we really, truly believe that raising children is an incredible opportunity to do something amazing in the world,’ she said.

Lyette said she couldn’t believe herself doing when she wakes and think about this every morning and said she didn’t know if they would have anymore.  The family spends $650 on groceries every week, including 12 gallons of milk, up to 100 eggs, 40lbs of chicken, and 40-50lbs of potatoes or rice. They shared housework like cooking, vacuuming, scrubbing the bathrooms, feeding the dog etc.

“It is challenging. There is no normal day in the Reback household,” she said.
