Carpet salesman Colin Hartburn, 30, said his daughter, Olivia, was born with so much hair that she became well known in the maternity ward, with midwives and new mothers popping in to take a look. And the attention hasn’t stopped for Olivia, who is now seven months old. The beautiful toddler is often compared to a doll, her father said.
‘We are always being sᴛᴏᴘᴘᴇᴅ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ sᴛʀᴇᴇᴛ by people who can’t believe how long it is. They often think she is much older than she is and say we should put her forward for baby modelling. Olivia has had several haircuts already, which is easy for my wife as she is a hairdresser, and Olivia loves having it styled and doesn’t mind having it washed.’

One father said his seven-month-old daughter’s ᴛʜɪᴄᴋ ᴍᴀɴᴇ ᴘʀᴏᴍᴘᴛs ᴘᴀssᴇʀs -by to stop them in the street, while another toddler boasts cascading curls that any adult would ᴇɴᴠʏ.
It comes after readers fell in love with photos of six-month-old Fergus Hillman, whose mother claims has the fastest-growing hair in Britain. While most babies often don’t need a haircut for the first couple of years of their lives, Fergus has already been to the barber’s twice. His mother Hayley says Fergus follows in the footsteps of herself, his sister and his grandfather, all of whom were born with a full head of hair.
The nurse, from Saltash, Cornwall, said: ‘I think it’s only really when you see him against other babies that you realise how hairy he is but people generally just sort of laugh at it.’ But as these pictures show, Fergus is not alone.
Mr Hartburn, from Epsom, Surrey, said: ‘We suspected she might have a lot of hair because Amy was suffering heartburn during her pregnancy, which they say is a sign that the baby will have hair, and is also funny because it’s our name.
