The 22-year-old rapper has caused a storm online in the t.r.a.n.s community, with people claiming he used the pregnancy bump in order to gain attention for the launch of his debut album.
On Friday (Sept 4, 2021) Lil Nas X shocked fans when he revealed his baby bump for the first time. The star shared photos from his “pregnancy photoshoot” where he was pictured in an all white outfit, cradling his baby bump.
The ‘Old Town Road’ rapper captioned the photos: “SURPRISE! I can’t believe i’m finally announcing this. My little bundle of joy “MONTERO” is due September 17, 2021.” Taking to Twitter, Lil Nas X thanked former US president Barack Obama for the “early baby shower gift” alongside a photo of a baby gift hamper with ‘Montero’ written on the front.
He’s eagerly awaiting a brand new addition. And Lil Nas X stroked a fake baby bump while announcing he’s ‘pregnant’ with his debut studio album on TikTok. The 22-year-old musician joked that ‘baby Montero is due September 17, 2021’ as he cradled a prosthetic belly while smiling for the camera.
Lil Nas — who’s full name is Montero Lamar Hill — stood shirtless in the bathroom for the quick clip shared on social media. ‘I have an announcement,’ he wrote with a slew of celebratory emojis.’
The Old Town Road singer stepped back to show off his growing baby bump as he announced the release date for his first catalog of hits. Nas told People he came up with the idea after hearing Megan Thee Stallion’s verse on their track, Dolla Sign Slime.
‘I was like, “Oh my God, this is amazing,” so I immediately called my stylist,’ he recalled, adding: ‘She was like, “Wow, this all comes together. Your album. Your baby.” I was like, “Yeah, this is my baby, huh?” [as] a joke. [She] was like, “yeah, you should do a pregnancy shoot.”‘
Fans have asked whether Lil Nas X is really pregnant – and the answer is, no. The rapper is using a fake pregnancy baby bump to suggest he is “giving birth” to his first debut album. On his new album as he released the track list on Instagram.
