As 2020 draws to a close, I’ve taken the time to reflect on the privilege of attending over 70 births throughout the year. Each experience has been a testament to the resilience and power of the birthing process, and I am grateful to have been a part of such significant and transformative moments in people’s lives.Birth-Gunnar-49.jpg

The images I share below are only a small collection of an overwhelming display of the courage and power that existed in the birth spaces across Denver and Colorado. And I can’t post this collection without also saying THANK YOU to the hospitals, birth centers, and home birth midwives who allowed doulas and birth photographers to support their clients during this pandemic.Bettina-64.jpg Bennett-Birth-70.jpgYou are true heroes in so many ways, and the care you provided your clients during such a scary health crisis is beyond admirable. Thank you for holding space, holding hands, and holding hearts in 2020.
