Herpstreith she is a nurse at the hospital , where she determined to give birth in here, and she prepared everything for the delivered. Who had just delivered her son Julien in St. Louis, Missouri, every one after give birth was tired, emasculates body, need time to relax and recovery. But insted being overcome with exhaution , she is a supermom went straight into nurse mode and performed her own newborn exam. She has delivered alot of hers baby — and Mooney was there to capture the magic moment on camera.
But before it was showtime, Herpstreith sh.ocked the birth photographer with her one-of-a-kind birth plan. A beautiful Photos a bout motherhood. Previous days, she had plan for to do her baby’s newborn exam by herself.
For those that are unfamiliar with the process, a newborn assessment typically happens within an hour after a baby is born. As Mooney explains , the baby’s weight and length is taken, the infant’s baby are checked, and the umbilical cord cut — it’s “basically a little ‘physical’ right after birth !” that is her daily work, so she checked very fast.
Usually new moms are so scarey and worry these actions. Those early postpartum hours they want to be spending them feeding, snuggling and sleeping. It was just incredible that Chelsea not only wanted to do this but did it and did it so amazingly!
Later, Mooney photographer posted the images she took of the delivery on Facebook, where they quickly went viral in internet . The photos have since been shared more than 14,000 times and have received more than 18,000 likes — but Mooney never expected her story to connect to so many people, that was beyond imagination. She tells us that she wanted to share the photos because she thought it was a “really cool and rare story”.
She says the response to the photos has been “super positive she didn’t believable” so far.
“The response was so positive and so celebratory and so many other nurses and healthcare workers thinking this good idea and want to do it themselves whenever they have a baby, ,” she continues, that is a meaning action.
In the end, Mooney was happy and she felt lucky to be in the special room for something truly. Or as she explained in her Facebook post, “it was truly a privilege to be invited into this birth space and get the honor of documenting mama checking out her brand new little boy.”
